Cinque Terre in Italy refers to a group of five villages on the rugged coastline of the Italian Riviera. This UNESCO World Heritage site, comprises villages that are connected by a network of trails and paths, boats and trains. Vehicular access is extremely limited with almost no vehicular access to most of the Villages. Terraces have been carefully built on the rugged steep slopes, resulting in narrow walkways between buildings and different areas of the village. One wonders how these narrow high buildings on steep slopes get larger items like furniture delivered. Imagine trying to deliver a double bed, or heavy appliances like a fridge or washing machine to one of these areas…. not easy!! Narrow is the prompt on the Weekly Photo Challenge this week, and images of some of these narrow walkways is my response to the prompt.
……….the journey continues …………..
