When you first walk into the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, it takes a few moments to take it all in. The volume of the space, the numerous shapes in the intricate detailing and calligraphy, the diagonal rows in the red carpet, the shape of the columns etc. It is as if all these shapes and compete for your attention. Despite this, it is difficult to not notice the presence of the circles, in the domes,or in the huge chandelier suspended over the space. Truly inspirational.Circles is the prompt on the Weekly Photo Challenge this week, and images of the Mosque’s interior are my respone to the prompt.
